7cb1d79195 In the last days before Armaggeddon, three men must made one eternal choice: receive the mark of the devil or stand for Christ. This movie will make you think about your own life choices. I won't actually honor this thing with a comment on it's valuea movie.

What really shook me actually is the indifference between the "Christians" and the "Community" in the movie. They both are completely like each other. Actually the quotes in the beginning can easily apply to both parties of the movie. And what's with the black and white attitude? The movie stands on a fine line between delivering a message and an insult, stating every non-believer to be mindless drones. No one stands in the middle.

I should also add that I was unbiased while seeing this. I had no idea it was a Christian movie so I watched until the end because when it has something post apocalyptic, I buy it. It has been so since Mad Max. I watch even the worst. But this… The production company that flashes up on screen at the opening of this movie - Christian Cinema - is a dead giveaway for what is to follow. SIX: THE MARK UNLEASHED is nothing more than a heavy-handed Christian propaganda movie in which the teachings of Christ are portrayeda way forward to a peaceful and tolerant society while everybody else is going to Hell.

To be fair, the film does start outa fairly ordinary sci-fi thriller, set in a dystopian world with the usual governmental oppression. When the action shifts to a prison with the introduction of Stephen Baldwin's bespectacled preacher, however, things get REALLY preachy. And I mean REALLY. The Bible is shoved down the viewer's throat at every opportunity, everyone is converted, even the expected atheist guy comes to see the error of his ways come the end. The writers here definitely haven't heard of subtlety, making this a movie that will be completely off-putting to all but Christian audiences.

There are a few familiar faces propping up this propaganda flick, not least Baldwin himself in an extensive cameo (and always on autopilot). Eric Roberts provides a brief, blink-and-you'll-miss-him appearance (at least he has the sense not to appear for longer) while Jeffrey Dean Morgan (WATCHMEN) is the erstwhile hero.
